The Hiksemi CITY E100 512GB is a 2.5 inch SATA III SSD made to speed up everyday computers. It is a direct replacement for a laptop hard drive and fits any desktop drive bay, so an older PC can boot in seconds and feel responsive again without changing the rest of the system.
Hiksemi rates the 512GB model at up to 550 MB/s sequential read and 480 MB/s write, with 65K / 70K random read/write IOPS. That is plenty for Windows, office software, online classes, browsing and light gaming.
Power use tops out at around 2.9W, which helps laptop battery life. Hiksemi covers the CITY E100 with a 3-year warranty. Note that Hiksemi does not recommend this drive for mobile DVR/NVR recorders.
